The Moss is Green Initiative

  • The Moss Center has gone green! We are committed to reducing our environmental impact by implementing sustainable practices within our facility as a part of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs’ Arts Resilient 305 initiative. Expect to see changes in our building with better guidance for the county’s recycling program and a water bottle to help reduce our reliance on single-use plastic bottles. Other initiatives include drink cups made of compostable plant materials and 25 recycling bins throughout our facility.

  • The Moss is Green initiative includes an exclusive reusable water bottle for purchase that guests can use for free water refills using the fountains in our facility.

  • Note: Free water refills can only be redeemed at fountains in our facility. If you choose to not participate in getting our Moss is Green water bottle, boxed water in a recyclable container will still be available for purchase.
